Driving Directions to Melrose Golf Club:
Take I-16 East from Macon to I-95 North. Take Exit 8 in South Carolina for Hwy 278/Hilton Head Island. Travel approx. 19 miles to the double bridges. Follow 278 approximately a mile and a half after crossing the bridges to the first traffic light - Squire Pope Road. Make a left at Squire Pope Road. Daufuskie Island Resort Embarkation is approximately one mile on your left.
For both I-95 North & South, take Exit 8 in South Carolina. Take Hwy 278 East to Hilton Head Island (approx. 19 miles) Follow 278 approximately a mile and a half after crossing the bridges to the first traffic light - Squire Pope Road. Make a left at Squire Pope Road. Daufuskie Island Resort Embarkation is approximately one mile on your left.
Exiting the gate of Sea Pines Plantation.
With $1.50 Toll (one-way): Go ¾ around the traffic circle (or take the third right) and exit onto Palmetto Bay Road. Palmetto Bay Road turns into the Cross Island Parkway. After the toll booth you will take the exit for Hwy278 Business and Gumtree Road. Get in the center lane. Continue straight through the traffic light onto Gumtree Road. At the end of Gumtree Road make a right onto Squire Pope Road. Daufuskie Island Resort Embarkation is approximately 1/8th of a mile on your left.
Exiting the airport, turn left onto Beach City Road. At the traffic light turn right onto Hwy. 278. Go approximately 2 miles to the traffic light intersecting Gumtree Rd., turn right. At the end of the Gumtree Rd turn right at the stop sign onto Squire Pope Rd. Daufuskie Island Embarkation is approximately 1/8th of a mile on your left.
Exiting the airport follow signs to I-95. Take I-95 North to Exit 8 in South Carolina for Hwy 278/Hilton Head Island. Travel approx. 19 miles to the double bridges onto Hilton Head Island. Follow Hwy 278 approximately a mile and a half after crossing the bridges to the first traffic light - Squire Pope Road. Make a left at Squire Pope Road. Daufuskie Island Resort Embarkation is approximately one mile on your left.
Driving Directions from Melrose:
Take a right turn out of Daufuskie Island Embarkation onto Squire Pope Road. Take Squire Pope Road to the traffic light and turn right onto Hwy 278, follow to I-95 North (approx 19 miles). Exit at I-17 North and follow until you reach Charleston. Driving time approximately 2 hours.
Take a right out of Daufuskie Island Embarkation onto Squire Pope Road. Take your first left turn onto Gumtree Road.
With $1.50 Toll (one-way): Continue straight at traffic light onto the Cross Island Parkway. After exiting the expressway, continue straight on Palmetto Bay Road until you reach the traffic circle (Sea Pines Circle). Take the first right off of the traffic circle onto Greenwood Drive to Sea Pines gate.
The scenic route: Make a left at the traffic light onto Hwy 278. Follow Hwy 278 about 11 miles to the traffic circle (Sea Pines Circle). Take the second right off of the traffic circle onto Greenwood Drive.
Stop at the Sea Pines Gate for a visitor’s pass ($5.00). Proceed on Greenwood Drive to Plantation Drive and turn right. Turn right on Lighthouse Road, which goes directly to Harbour Town.
Take a right out of the Daufuskie Island Embarkation onto Squire Pope Road. Take your first left onto Gumtree Road. At the traffic light make a left onto Hwy 278. Make a left turn onto Beach City Road (about 2 miles). Hilton Head Airport is approximately one mile on the right.
Take a right turn out of Daufuskie Island Embarkation onto Squire Pope Road. Take Squire Pope to the traffic light and turn right onto Hwy 278. Follow it over the bridges and off the island. Continue on Hwy 278 until you reach I-95 (approx 19 miles). For I-95 South stay in the left lane. For I-95 North, exit to the right.
Take a right out of the Daufuskie Island Embarkation onto Squire Pope Road. Take Squire Pope Road to the traffic light and turn right onto Highway 278. Follow it over the bridges, off of the island. Continue on Hwy 278 until you reach I-95 (approx 19 miles). Take I-95 South to GA Exit 18A (Savannah Airport) and follow the signs. Approximately one hour driving time.
Take a right turn out of Daufuskie Island Embarkation onto Squire Pope Road. Take Squire Pope to the traffic light and turn right onto Hwy 278. Travel approximately 10 miles and turn left onto Route 170. Bear right where Route 170 joins Hwy 46. Continue until you reach a T in the road then turn left onto Hwy 17 south to Talmadge Bridge and downtown Savannah. Approximately one hour driving time.
