Equestrian Center 2009

Lessons
Private and semi-private lessons are available and are structured to suit the individual needs of the rider. Riding helmets are required for all students and are available in the Equestrian Center.

Trail Rides
Beach Trail: A 60-minute walk-trot ride exploring the natural beauty of Daufuskie's beaches and woodlands. Shoreline views are subject to tidal conditions.

Custom Trails: For the seasoned rider a 90 minute beach ride is available. This is a walk trot canter style ride. This trail is a private trail and requires booking through the equestrian center staff. Proper English attire is required if not riding western style. This trail ride may be subject to a riding test before departure. Custom trails may be extended in length at an additional fee.

Carriage Rides
Enjoy a romantic, leisurely ride on resort property in a horse drawn surrey. To romanticize your carriage ride, gift baskets are available for an additional charge. Maximum 2 passengers. All carriages must be booked 72 hours in advance.

An 8-passenger carriage is also available for group rides.

Driving Lessons
Take advantage of the rare opportunity. Learn the art of carriage driving. The 1-hour lesson is available to intermediate students.

Pony Rides
Children are led around the stable yard for 20 minutes. Don't forget your camera. Young riders love our pony.

Please Note
Our horses love treats and can be easily distracted by the smell of apples or carrots. For the safety of our riders we ask that treats be given at the end of the horse's workday.

A release of liability is required for all riders. Minor children must have a release signed by a parent or responsible guardian.
